It's good to finish the print formatting first for self-publishing on Kindle. Then go and do the ebook formatting. Once you go through the upload process, Kindle will flag possible misspelled words for you - which then you can go and modify your print copy at the same time.
It's not a sure-fire way of catching all errors, but it's pretty nifty.
