Creating Characters
Some writing musings as I write the first draft of the 3rd Light Dragoons series: Writing a historical character can be both easy and hard. Easy if there are a lot of source materials and analysis to figure out what makes the character tick and what are their wants, needs and interactions with others around them. Good example: George Washington. Stoic, proud and very, very understated in both anger and frustration. History books tells us Washington was humble and a calm leade

2nd Light Book Pricing Update
Just a quick heads up that I've increased the pricing of all four novels in the 2nd Continental Dragoon Light series by $1.00 USD to accommodate for increase in Ad Sales costs as well as recent changes to Amazon Publishing cost structure too. Still trying to keep it below most market prices for novels of this size and words (over 100k), but it's definitely getting harder by the year. It is still a labor of love and I will always love to share my work with others.

Celebrating 250: The Burning of Ridgefield & Danbury
It is about 2 days early, but talking about the 2nd Light's involvement in the Burning of Ridgefield and Danbury, CT (originally occurred Apr. 27 through 28th, 1777). This post won't be focused on the heroics of Benedict Arnold, Gold Selleck Silliman and David Wooster, but rather the mustering of the 2nd Light and subsequent response. In my 1st novel, "Patriots" I made allusions that the 2nd Light actually went to Danbury and Ridgefield - but after it had already been burned
